Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous getting on the plane from Cuba to Cancun today. I know, I know the chances of a plane going down are small, twice in a week even smaller (Statisticians back us up), but the thought is still there. I really do feel for all of those who lost their lives in the plane crash leaving Cuba.
On a happier note we are back in Cancun, Mexico. We ate more guacamole than we thought was possible (Missed that in Cuba) and fish tacos before taking our positions in front of either a phone or a computer with wifi (Teddy observed that he had never seen a less social hostel room) We’ve spent the past 3 hours trying to figure out what to do with ourselves as of tomorrow. The bus to Chetumal on the the border between Belize and Mexico was calling our name. We spend a night there to then get on our second bus and head into Guatemala, first stop being Flores and the Tikal ruins. We are hoping for active volcanos, big lakes, inca ruins, a few Spanish lessons and (apparently) a pretty good night life!
Let’s see if we manage to stick to the plan.
